Postcard: Paris from Above

I looked around this blog and decided there was just NOT enough Paris going on, so I decided to fix that with today's postcard. Enter a gorgeous aerial view of Ile de la Cité and Ile St Louis - the very heart of Paris.
I especially love this shot because the Pont Neuf is in the foreground; I did a huge art history term paper on Christo's Pont Neuf project, and I've been in love with that bridge ever since. More than that, it shows the Vert Galant - the small park at the tip of the Ile de la Cité, which is my favorite spot in all of Paris, maybe all of the world. (FYI - Here's a charming clip from An Education that ends in that exact spot, so obviously I'm not the only one who loves it!)
I also think this picture is amazing for it's depth of field, showing so many bridges on the Seine in just one shot. With the Pont Neuf at the bottom, it captures all of the little bridges that connect the islands, all the way up to Pont d'Austerlitz at the far edge of the Latin quarter...
